Daily Schedule

Explanation of the Block Schedule

Summit High School program follows a unique block schedule system. During the regular school year, we offer four 36 day blocks as reflected on the school calendar. During each block, the student takes and completes three or more courses. At the end of the block, the earned credit is then applied to the transcript. This system offers the student the motivational advantage of being able to earn a positive reward in a shorter amount of time. It also allows the student who has fallen behind to catch up and graduate before the end of the school year. It is imperative that students realize there is a 90% attendance requirement policy. Additional work experience credit may be earned for each 130 hours verified by the employer and turned into the registrar.
